Teresa Russell-Thomas, 52, of Keokuk, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
Teresa was born on October 22, 1968, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Harry “Junior” and Anna (Stark) Russell. She was united in marriage to Floyd “Russell” Thomas in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, they later separated.
Teresa was employed at Goldies Sawmill in Winchester, Missouri, and enjoyed spending her free time making jewelry, crafting, and frequenting yard sales.
Teresa is survived by her son Andrew “Andy” (Melinda) Russell of Keokuk; her mother Anna Russell of Keokuk; her grandson Zane A. Russell of Kahoka, Missouri; her brother Harold (Tammy) Russell of Keokuk; her sister Mindy (boyfriend Ed) Russell of Pomroy, Ohio; her special aunt Marilyn Stark; her cousin Maria Burgess; her best friend Wanda Orton; and two live-in caregivers: Rhea Anne Humes and Terra Stewart.
Teresa is preceded in death by her father Junior and her grandparents.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, with a procession to the cemetery meeting at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk at 12:30 pm.
