     Michelle VanVelkinburgh, 46, of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday August 18, 2021 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

     She was born on October 27, 1974 in Chicago Heights, IL, the daughter of Wayne Sr. and Cheryl Cox.  Michelle was united in marriage to Everd VanVelkinburgh on February 14, 2009 in Montrose, IA.  He survives.

     She is also survived by one son, Terry VanVelkinburgh of Keokuk, one daughter, Anna Keck of Dover, TN, two grandchildren Kaylynn and Nathan, one brother, Wayne Cox Jr. of Ottumwa, IA, and her special friend, Blaze Parton of Keokuk.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents and her late husband, Terry Lee VanVelkinburgh.

     Michelle enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, NFL football, Greys Anatomy and Sons of Anarchy.  She also enjoyed playing Bingo.  She loved horses and riding them in her younger years.  Michelle had a great sense of humor, and could be a little sarcastic, but always fun loving.  She enjoyed her life as a homemaker and taking care of her kids.

     A visitation for family and friends will be held on September 11, 2021 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.
