Richard Lee “Dick” Lillis, 84 of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Blessing Health Keokuk.

He was born June 26, 1937 in Lee County Iowa, the son of Roy Cole and Grace Harrison Lillis. Dick graduated from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, IL.

On August 10, 1958 Dick was united in marriage to Vera Mae Roth in Elvaston, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Michelle Hamilton and Shawn Marlin (Fritz) all of Keokuk, one grandson, Jeremiah Bollin and three granddaughters, Hannah Abston (BJ), Lindsay Leggett (Cody) and Taylor Krome (Taylor), seven great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Alice, Wyatt, Josie, Hudson, Houston and Lyla. He is also survived by two sisters, Roberta Swingler of Ft. Madison, IA and Beverly Hanson of Champaign, IL and one brother, James Lillis of Mountain Home, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce Dorothy.

Dick was of the Christian faith.

He had been employed by Hubinger/Roquette in Keokuk for thirty-seven years until his retirement.

Dick was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. He loved going to auctions in search of treasures to add to his coin collections and model and antique car collections. He also enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with family meeting with friends at that time.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #41.
