West Burlington sweeps Central Lee

WEST BURLINGTON - The Central Lee Lady Hawks lost in three straight to Class 3A No. 7-ranked West Burlington Thursday night.

The Falcons took the match 22-25, 23-25 and 9-25 in Southeast Iowa Superconference South Division volleyball.

Makayla Morrison had 14 kills, and had nine digs for the Hawks. Meghan Hopp had 11 kills, three blocks, while serving 11 for 11 and had 13 digs.

Maura Watkins had four kills, three blocks, and a dig. Alivia Mhyre had a kill, one block and served 9 for 9, while Macy Watkins had 32 assists, three kills, a block, served four aces and had five digs.

Kelsie Stewart had a kill and four digs, Alix Congdon had 12 digs, Sophie Turner served 9 for 9 and had five digs. Karissa Moeller had four digs.

The Lady Hawks are 5-5 on the year and travel to the Holy Trinity Catholic Invitational on Monday.
