Brian Keith Strunk, 47, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
Brian was born on June 22, 1974 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the son of Lester and Doris (Lair) Strunk. On July 5, 1997 he married Kimberly Briggs in Lomax, Illinois. She survives.
Brian was a 1993 graduate of Dallas City High School. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Army before returning home to Dallas City. Brian worked at Shearer Foods in Burlington for the past 23 years, working in maintenance for the past 12 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved being a grandfather to Mark and Aubrey.
Survivors include his wife: Kim; three daughters: Angelina (Justin) Lox of Palacios, Texas; Clarissa (fiancé Tyler Korn) of Dallas City, and Justine Strunk of Dallas City, his mother and step-father: Doris and Leon Krogmeier of Argyle, Iowa; two grandchildren: Mark Lox and Aubrey Piles and his father and step-mother: Lester (Christine) Strunk of Donnellson, Iowa. Also surviving is one sister Stacey (Jeremy) Good of Burlington, two nephews and his former step-father: Ron Donaldson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
