Katherine Bernice McGlasson, 66, of Keokuk, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA.

     She was born on December 3, 1954 in Missouri, the daughter of William Earl and Dorothy Mae Brownlee Conover.

     On July 5, 1974, Katherine was united in marriage to Carl McGlasson.  He survives.

     She is also survived by four daughters, Mary Mae McGlasson of Keokuk, Kathy Burrus of Burlington, IA, Virginia McGlasson of Arkansas and Tiffany McGlasson of Keokuk, three sons, Carl McGlasson, Jr. (Jessica) of Argyle, Danny McGlasson (Emilea) of Keokuk and Steven McGlasson of Ft. Madison, thirteen grandchildren, two brothers, Don Conover (Barb) of Burlington and Mike “Bill” Conover (Lori) of Hamilton, one sister, Judy Miller (Lyle) of Keokuk, two sisters-in-law, Janet Conover of Kahoka, MO and Peggy Conover of Alexandria, MO and several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Earl “Deanie” Conover, Everett Conover, Robert ‘Rocky” Conover and Joseph Conover, three sisters, Debbie Jamison, Beverly Conover and Donna Jean Conover.

     Katherine enjoyed playing Yahtzee and was an avid Elvis Presley fan.  She was an amazing cook and made wonderful meals and baked goods for her family to enjoy. Her family was her life.  She was a dedicated wife and mother and devoted herself to caring for her husband and children, making their house a home filled with love.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she greatly enjoyed spending time with them.

     A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 2 pm – 4 pm Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with the family meeting with friends at that time.
