Kevin Wayne Martin, 63 of Montrose, IA died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his home.

     He was born August 19, 1958 in Keokuk, IA the son of Raymond Sr. and Arvilla Collins Martin.  Kevin graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1976.  He was also a graduate of Tri State Tech School in Eldon, MO with a degree in Boat Maintenance.

     On June 10, 1995 Kevin was united in marriage to Cindy Lynn Myers at First Christian Church in Keokuk. She survives.

     Other survivors include one son, Trenton Lambert (Jami) of Lake Station, IN, one daughter, Kellie Stack (Ed) of Keokuk, six grandchildren, Nathaniel Lambert, Alexus Lambert, Trenton Lambert, Jr., Ruger Grelk, Arvilla Stack and Tyler Coffey.  He is also survived by one sister, Rhonda Acton of Wever, IA, one brother, Raymond Martin of Keokuk, several nieces and nephews and many friends. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.  

Kevin was currently employed by Boddeker Boats in Montrose, IA. Kevin had several other jobs throughout his life including Affordable Pattern in Keokuk and Fruehauf in Ft. Madison, IA and marinas in the Lake of the Ozarks.

     Kevin had an adventurous, fun loving spirit.  He loved sports, and was a Green Bay Packer football fan, Chicago Cubs fan and NASCAR fan.  He enjoyed stock car dirt track racing and loved going to the Lee County Speedway.  Kevin also enjoyed boating, fishing and bowling.  Kevin was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.  He touched the lives of many with his kindness and his sense of humor. He was known to many of his friends as “Kevinrude” aka “Porkchop”.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, his dog Sheela, who was his faithful companion and hanging out with his friends. 

     A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Bill Mitchell officiating.  

     Visitation will be held prior to the service, Tuesday, from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
