Central Lee middle school girls down HTC

Crusader 8th graders start year 0-3; 7th graders 2-1.

DONNELLSON - Riley Gregory scored 14 for Central Lee including nine in the second half to lead Central Lee's eighth grade girls to a 29-13 win over Holy Trinity Thursday night.

Kenna Sandoval had nine points in the win.

Mykayla Schinstock had six points, all in the second half to lead Holy Trinity. Adalyn Kruse had a 3-ball in the first half for her three points, second best for the Crusaders.

In the seventh grade game, Kruse had eight points in a 24-10 HTC loss. Nora Lampe had nine points for the Lady Hawks. Brynnlie Howard had seven points for Central Lee.

The Crusader's eighth graders are 0-3 on the year after dropping a 19-10 loss to Winfield-Mt. Union on the road Lia Fullenkamp had four points, while Izzy Wheatley-Behne, Ellie Helmman and Kruse each had a bucket.

The HTC seventh graders downed the Lady Wolves 15-13. Kruse had five, and Elizabeth Griffin had four in the win.

Van Buren downed the eighth grade Crusaders 28-9 to open the season back on Oct. 28. Schinstock had four points in the loss. Fullenkamp had three and Kruse had two.

The 7th graders won 17-14 behind Kruse's seven points. Hellman had four in the loss.
