WEST BURLINGTON - Southeastern Community College president Dr. Michael Ash presented the American Legion of Iowa Foundation scholarship to SCC students Daryun Kreft, Mediapolis, and Emily Shepler, Ft. Madison.
This scholarship is awarded to veterans or persons currently serving in the military.
Both students are pursuing their AA. Kreft, a Reservist, began his first semester as a full-time student this fall. Because he’d completed dual credit classes during high school, he is on track to graduate next December 2022. Shepler is in the Iowa National Guard and will graduate this December.
