AmeriCorps/RSVP to host winter clothing drive in December

LEE COUNTY - AmeriCorps Seniors/Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) and United Way of the Great River Region are hosting a Winter Coat drive from Dec.1 until Dec. 22 at the United Way Resource Center in Fort Madison.

The coats can either be new or gently worn. Gently worn clothing must be freshly laundered. We will also be accepting new hats, gloves, and scarves.

The donations can be dropped off at the United Way Resource Center in Fort Madison at 3421 Avenue L between the hours 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

The donations will go to local area residents in need of these items. Area residents can come to pick up needed items on Monday Jan. 17, and Wed. January 19, 2022 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

United Way of the Great River Region supports non-profit organizations and agencies that provide programs addressing needs in health, education, and financial stability to residents in Clark, Hancock, and Lee counties. All donations are tax-deductible.
