NEW LONDON - Macy Watkins exploded for 27 points and Alivia Myhre had 24 in a rout of New London Tuesday night.

Watkins had a career high 17 in the first half alone as the Lady Hawks won 86-26 in a girls Southeast Iowa Superconference South matchup in New London.

The game's tone was set quick as Central Lee rushed to a 22-0 lead with two minutes left in the first quarter. They pushed that to 33-4 lead going into the second quarter.

Head Coach Jay Baldwin went eight players into the rotation in the first half as the Hawks had things under control from the tip.

Makayla Morrison was also in double figures with 14. Nine players scored as Central Lee couldn't seem to cool off at any point in the win, putting up 49 points in the first half alone and then scored 37 in the second half with liberal subbing by Baldwin.

Maura Watkins has six points, followed by Mya Lampe with five. Kodi Moeller had four while Bailey Schwartz, Karlie Pohren and Kami Cox all scored two points in the win.
