Kathryn A. Amberger, 75, of West Point, Iowa passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the West Point Care Center.

She was born on July 28, 1946 in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Leo Mallett. On July 21,1976 she married Walter Amberger in Canoga Park, California. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2014.

Survivors include Kristopher (Monica) Amberger of West Point, Kevin Kobus of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cynthia (Ray) Davis of Monet, Missouri, Michael (Gina) St. Hilaire of Monet, Missouri, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brother: John Mallett; sister: Heila Mallett and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, and two brothers.

Kathy enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with her family and friends.

Her body has been entrusted to the crematory of Schmitz Funeral Home for cremation. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. March 1, 2022 at the Keokuk National Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
