Betty Eid, 85,of Wever passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 6:05 AM at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington.
She was born on September 9, 1936 in Ft. Madison to Maximino and Antolina Moreno Estrada. On April 20, 1968 she married Darryl Eid in Ft. Madison. Betty graduated from Mount St. Claire’s nursing college. She was a Registered OB Nurse and retired in 1999 after forty two years of service. Betty enjoyed baking, going to the casino and collecting owls and Occupied Japan products. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Darryl Eid of Wever; one daughter, Darice (Devin) Gosney of Burlington; one son, Darryl Eid, Jr. of El Paso, TX; three grandchildren, Owen Eid and Hymiley and Kuryna Gosney; two brothers, David Estrada of Wever and Larry Estrada of Chicago; three sisters, Dolores Thompson of Laconia, New Hampshire, Josephine Estrada of Burlington and Aurelia “Wally” Estrada of Chicago and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Theodore, Matthew, Jesse and Refugio and one sister, Lucina.
Friends may call after 2 PM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet with friends from 4-6 PM. Following the visitation her body will be cremated.
