NEW LONDON - Mary Kate Bendlage put up 22 points in HTC's 70-23 win over New London in girls Southeast Iowa Superconference action Friday night.
The Crusaders sit at 7-2 in conference action and are in 3rd place in the south division behind 5th-ranked Burlington Notre Dame and West Burlington.
New London fell behind 26-5 in the first quarter as Bendlage got off to a quick start with 12 first-quarter points.
HTC then clamped down on the Tigers allowing just two points in the second quarter pushing to a 47-7 lead at the half.
It was much of the same in the 2nd half with Holy Trinity giving up just 16 points in the half, while putting up 38 points on the Crusader end.
Natalie Randolph scored 17 including four 3-pointers and Kayla Box had 11 in the win.
Teagan Snaadt had six, Raquel Schneider and Reagan Holvoet each had four, Mary Hellige hit a 3-ball in the fourth quarter for her three points, while Jenna DiPrima had two and Brooke Mueller scored one to round out the Crusader scoring.
The Crusaders (7-4) travel to Mt. Pleasant Monday night.
