Roy William Gehle II, 64, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 6:03 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.  He was born on September 30, 1957 in Fort Madison, IA to Richard & Magdalen Cooper Gehle.  He retired as a lieutenant with Iowa State Penitentiary in 2013 with 32 years of service.  He enjoyed farming, racing, commercial fishing, ford trucks, his Harley Davidson and anything to do with his kids and grandkids. 

Roy is survived by: 3-daughters: Chrissy (Ryan) Ball of Donnellson, IA, Brandy (Rick) Lichtenberger of Fort Madison, IA & Jessica (Jason Breashears) Gehle of Fort Madison, IA; 1-son: Brandon Gehle of Overland Park, KS; 10-grandchildren: Jessica (Cody), Regan (Dustin), Devon, Zachary (Kelsey), Carly, Jonathan, Andrew, Logan, Jade & Jinta; 4-great grandchildren: Mattie, Maleah, Wade and 1 due in March; 2-brothers: Mike (Sharon) Gehle of Fort Madison, IA & Mark (Michelle) Gehle of Humble, TX; 3-sisters: Becky (Richard) Eaves of Fort Madison, IA, Mary (Bill) Shively of Menifee, CA, Rose (Dave Nelson) Siegfried of Fort Madison, IA and a number of nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 2-brothers: Richard & Peter Gehle.
