Vickie Lynn Happs, 72, of Keokuk, died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Blessing Health Keokuk.

She was born on November 21, 1949 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of John and Rachael Mae (Jenkins) Happs.  She attended Keokuk High School and received her Associates Degree from Carl Sandburg College in Carthage, IL.

She had been employed at Walmart in Keokuk for over ten years.

Vickie enjoyed researching genealogy, crocheting blankets, working on jig-saw puzzles and playing computer games.  She also enjoyed working on home projects and growing roses in her yard.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grand-children.

She is survived by two daughters, Denise Hamelton of Scottsdale, AZ, Cindy Boddeker and her husband  Mike of Keokuk, three sons, Terry Hamelton, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Keokuk, Jerry Hamelton of Ft. Madison and John Hamelton of Gilbert, AZ, seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.   She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Carol Fojtik, John Happs, Jr, Jerry Happs, Joann McVeigh, Connie Powers, Donna Kay, Stanley Happs, Christine Priebe, Rick Happs and Tracey Shuman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Raymond Happs.

A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 5 pm – 7 pm Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with the family meeting with friends at that time.
