Nolan F. Gilpin, 83, of Dallas City, IL, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home.  He was born on September 4, 1938 in Keokuk, IA to George & Nina Hawkins Gilpin.  He married Barbara Robertson on June 10, 1983.  She preceded him in death on October 20, 2013.  He enjoyed playing guitar and singing and was very musical.  He was a commercial fisherman and a chef at Haigh’s Supper Club in Dallas City.  He helped raise his six siblings and was a wonderful brother.

Nolan is survived by: 1-brother: Larry (Marsha) Gilpin of Dallas City, IL; 5-sisters: Nancy Pence of Fort Madison, IA, Joan (Eddie) Dutton of West Burlington, IA, Jane (Harlan) Aegerter of Cedar Rapids, IA, Christal Sherwood of Dallas City, IL, Patricia Silk of Dallas City, IL and numerous nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2-sisters & 1-brother.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  No services are planned at this time and burial will be held at a later date at Harris Cemetery in Dallas City, IL.  Online condolences may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
