Central Lee 7th/8th graders 9-1
DONNELLSON - Central Lee's 7th and 8th grade boys are a combined 9-1 on the year after sweeping two games with Van Buren.
The Hawk 8th graders knocked off Van Buren 34-18 behind a 12-point, three rebound effort from Brody Moeller. Owen Swan and Colton Taft each had nine points. Will Hayes had five boards in the win.
In the 7th grade game, Evan Fogarty had 12 points and five boards and Gage Van Ausdall had 11 points and five rebounds. Carson Morrison had six points, six boards and three assists in the win.
The Hawks play at WACO on Monday night.

HTC boys jv knocks off Central Lee
FORT MADISON - Aden Ross led Central Lee's junior varsity squad with 10 points, but Holy Trinity rolled to a 65-33 win Thursday night. Dante Merschman had six in the loss. Ross also had three assists in the win.
Notre Dame knocked off the Hawks on Tuesday night at Central Lee 66-48. Kevin Damico and Danta Merschman each had 10 points for the Hawks in the loss.

Five Hounds win titles at Southern Iowa JV tourney
FAIRFIELD - Chaz Fullenkamp, Landon Rudd, Hayden Segoviano, Caleb Bolander and Marcus Guzman all capture first place finishes at the Southern Iowa Classic junior varsity tournament this past weekend. Aaron Warner and Christian Vincent both brought home runner-up honors.

FMMS girls get two wins
FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison 7th grade girl’s basketball team opened up their season with two wins this week.  The A team beat Washington 26-16 and Burlington 28-23.  In the Washington game Reilynn Turnbull led in scoring with 12 points.  Molly Schulte was next with eight points and Natalie Wright scored six.  Alaina Scherwin pitched in with two points.  In the B game against Washington, Fort Madison lost 14-4.  Torey Potter and Alyvia Drummer each scored a basket.  
Against Burlington Schulte led in scoring with 10.  Turnbull and Wright each scored eight points and Charley Huebner rounded out the scoring with two.  The B team lost 12-8.  Kenna Gittings, Teniya Ingram, Adelyn Lampe, and Drummer each scored two points.  The A team is 2-0 on the season and the B team is 0-2.

FMMS 8th graders split at Ed Stone
BURLINGTON - The Fort Madison Middle School 8th grade boys A team won 47-42 after being ahead 19-18 at halftime at Ed Stone Monday night. The Little Hounds are 1-1 on the year. Nolan Guzman had 21 for the Hounds and Case Fraise had 14 points in the win.
B Game lost 21-20 with Edin Mehmedi leading the way with eight points. Dayton Bonar had six in the loss.

HTC Junior High Crusaders win at Danville
The junior high Crusaders won both games Thursday night at Danville.
The 7th boys won 16-7. Tanner Williams led the way scoring six points. Caleb Rea added four and Corby Moeller, Carson Pauly and James Denning each had 2.
The 8th grade boys won their game 39-23. Layne Rung led the Crusaders with 14 points. Jameson Denning had 9, Nathan Box added in 6, Blake Mohrfeld chipped in 4.
