Ralph W. Kempf, 76, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 8:45 PM at his home.

He was born on February 22, 1945 in Eldon, IA to Ralph and Vivian Cudworth Kempf.  Ralph retired from the Santa Fe Railroad after several years of service.  He loved doing anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, trapping and mushrooming.  He was an avid collector of almost everything including Indian artifacts and guns.  Ralph also enjoyed sitting on his porch and watching traffic during the warmer months.

Survivors include three brothers, Gary Kempf of What Cheer, IA, Donald Kempf of Hedrick, IA and Paul Kempf of Hillsboro, IA and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Henry Kempf and three sisters, Carolyn Sanderson, Wilda Prevett and Gloria Conyers.

Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date with a burial to be held in Iowaville Cemetery, Selma, IA.
