Scott Owen Martin, 60, of Montrose, IA, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 5:32 PM at the Southeast Iowa Medical Center in West Burlington.
He was born on August 1, 1961 in Ft. Madison to Mary Ellen Huett and was raised by her and Chadwick “Junior” Russell. On July 27, 1996 he married Patty Dempsey in Ft. Madison. Scott worked at Fruehauf in his early years and then for twenty years at Roquette and was currently working at the Iowa Fertilizer Company. Scott and Patty enjoyed NASCAR and attending many races. They worked together on finishing their home south of Montrose. He also enjoyed boating and a cold Bud Select.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Martin of Montrose; his mother, Mary Ellen Russell of Ft. Madison; his dog, Polar; his mother in law, Luella Dempsey and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Russell and his beloved dogs Luka and Koda.
Friends may call after 2 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet with friends from 4-6:00 PM. A celebration of life will follow the visitation at the Moose Lodge. Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
