Larry J. Holland, 72, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 1:40 am Thursday, February 24, 2022 at this home.  He was born July 11, 1949 at Keokuk, Iowa, a son of Edward Jr. and Burma Jean (Parrish) Holland.

Larry lived most of his life in the area and was a 1967 graduate of the Fort Madison High School.  For 35 years, he worked as a gold melter for Sheaffer Pen.  He liked fishing, hunting, building model cars, watching others fly remote control airplanes and writing songs.  He enjoyed traveling, especially going south.

Larry is survived by two sisters: Trudy Eid (Jason Hart), of Fort Madison and Patricia Holland, of Burlington, Iowa; seven nieces and nephews; eighteen great nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, David Holland, brother-in-law, Kevin Eid and great niece, Lillian.

Family will greet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Monday, February 28, 2022 with the funeral service to follow starting at 11:00 am at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, with Pastor Kyle Sadler officiating.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Madison.  A memorial has been established, contributions may be left at or mailed to Barr Memorial Chapel, 1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, Iowa 52627.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Holland family and an online guest book may be found at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
