Old Pilot Grove Town Cemetery Meeting – The Old Fort Genealogical Society is having Joel Garretson speaking on Old Pilot Grove town and cemetery as well as his efforts to clean up the cemetery. The meeting is Sat Feb. 26 at 11a.m at the Fort Madison Public Library meeting room. This is open to the public.  Joel will be presenting the move of the town, information on the cemetery, and will be showing his prints that he is selling as fundraiser.   The money is being raised to help restore the Old Pilot Grove Cemetery. Fort Madison Partners Annual Dinner – Tickets still available for the Fort Madison Partners Annual Dinner on Feb. 25 at McAleer Hall 415 11th Street. Cocktails are at 5:15 with dinner starting at 6 p.m. Call 319-372-5471 for more information.

Sam Lozano's FMAAA Art Exhibit – The reception for the March exhibit at Fort Madison Area Arts Association will be held March 4 from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. with viewings open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday throughout the month. The gallery is located at 825 Avenue G.

ISU Extension Gardening workshop – A 2-hour workshop on beginning gardening will take place on March 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lee County Extension Office at 414 N. Main in Donnellson. Contact Whitney Weisinger at 319-835-5116 for more information. Registration required by March 10 and the event is free to Lee County residents, and $10 for non residents.

United Way of the Great River Region Golf Outing – This year's event is set for Friday, May 6 with a noon shotgun start. Contact the UWGRR at 319-524-5404 or director@unitedwaygrr.org for more information.

Getting Ahead Open House Meet & Greet – Come meet the graduates of Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’ by World. Talk with graduates and learn what the program has done for them, see what Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’ by World can do for you, learn how you can become involved. Hope Revealed Through Bible Prophecy – A continuing series of presentations of hope for today’s world from Fort Madison Seventh-day Adventist Church. FREE admission, Bibles, books, DVD, Bible study materials, child care up to 12 years, and refreshments provided. The seminar starts Friday, March 4, 7pm at the Quality Inn & Suites, 6169 Reve Court, Fort Madison, Iowa.

Women of Faith are Invited to the Worldwide Live-Streamed IF: Gathering 2022 at FUMC of MP – We invite you to IF: Gathing to be held Friday, March 4th from 6-9:30 pm and Saturday, March 5th from 9am-4pm. The event will be held at First United Methodist Church at 309 N Main St, Mount Pleasant, IA 52641. IF: Gathering 2022 is a two-day live streamed event, where women all of the world gather together to watch dynamic speakers and discuss being women for God in this time and place.  The theme for this year is “HOPE” and we will also talk about resilience. At IF: 2022 we are going to talk about how to live in this world right now and how to navigate life that goes against culture. How do we build community in the middle of that? How do we tell people about Jesus? Our lives matter in this time and we’re not going to waste it. The event is for all-denominations and women of faith or those who are curious in learning what faith in Jesus is all about.  Snacks, light breakfast, and vegetarian lasagna will be included in your $30 registration (scholarships available).
