Evelyn Ann Alderete, 64, of Hamilton, IL, died Friday, February 25, 2022 at Blessing Health Keokuk.

She was born on April 26, 1957 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Carmen Senobia (Regalado) and George Elmer Freer, Jr.  She attended Antelope Valley College and received her Associate’s Degree.

She had been employed as an EMT for Wilson Ambulance in Palmdale, CA and also worked for the County of Los Angeles as a Clerk.

She enjoyed bird watching and working in her vegetable and flower gardens.  She also enjoyed junking and loved going to auctions in search of treasures. She was a wonderful cook and baker.  Her favorite ingredient was cinnamon which she added to almost everything.  Evelyn was a social butterfly and could strike up a conversation with anyone, even a stranger.  She was an avid Bingo Blitz player and had made many international friends while playing the game.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Sergio Zuniga of Colorado, four daughters, Iesha Rocha, Julia Mendez and Angela Alderete all of California and Jessica Alderete of Ft. Madison, IA, countless grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by six sisters, Veronica Chavez, Norma Fields and Janet Young all of California, Nancy Martinez and Olivia Mena both of Keokuk, and Georgia Mullett of North Carolina, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and her special fur-babies,  Bungy and Twyla Star.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a special aunt, Mary Munoz.

According to her wishes there will be no services.
