Claude C. Turpin, Jr., 69, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 9:08 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, IA.  He was born on June 14, 1952 in Chicago, IL to Claude C. & Alice Sargent Turpin, Sr.  He married Sheila R. Mendenhall on April 9, 1973 in Kahoka, MO.  He worked for the City of Fort Madison from 1973 until his retirement in July of 2010.  He also worked at Scout Connection in Fort Madison for 29 years while working for the city.  He enjoyed riding his side by side & motorcycle and camping.

Claude is survived by: his wife: Sheila Turpin of Fort Madison, IA; 1-daughter: Kynda (Ricky Arnold) O’Tool of Fort Madison, IA; 1-son: Jason Turpin of Farmington, IA; 5-grandchildren; 3-great grandchildren; his mother: Alice Turpin of Fort Madison, IA & 1-sister: Carolyn George) Frueh of Branson, MO.  He was preceded in death by his father and 1-infant sister.
