Fort Madison woman arrested on felony drug charges

FORT MADISON - A Fort Madison woman was arrested Monday on felony drug charges.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of Mary Rumelhart, 41, of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested in the 1500 block of Ave. M in Fort Madison, for outstanding warrants for two counts of Delivery of less than 5g of methamphetamine each a Class C felony.

RUMELHART

The arrest of Rumelhart stems from a long-term investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into Rumelhart being involved with the delivery of narcotics throughout the Fort Madison area.

The Fort Madison Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
