KEOKUK - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a man and woman on Felony and misdemeanor charges.
David Londrie, 59, of Keokuk, Iowa and April Settles, 40 of Carthage, Illinois were both arrested in the 400 block of California Ave. in Keokuk, Iowa on Feb. 26, 2022.
Londrie was arrested for Conspiracy Possession with Intent to Deliver more than 5 grams of methamphetamine 2nd or Subsequent Offense within 1,000 feet of a public park a Class B Felony; Possession of a Controlled substance 2nd offense an Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor.
Settles was arrested on several warrants and in addition; Possession with Intent to deliver more than 5g of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a public park a Class B Felony; Drug Tax Stamp Violation a Class D Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance-marijuana a Serious Misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts and Providing False Identification.
The arrest of both Londrie and Settles stems from the Keokuk Police Department responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle. As contact was made they discovered a large quantity of drugs in both Londrie and Settles possession and contacted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force to assist with furthering the investigation.
The Keokuk Police Department, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation. The defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
