Fort Madison Police Report
03/02/22 – 3:06 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1500 block of Avenue H.
03/02/22 – 3:54 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Jacky Bernard Phillips, 35, Fort Madison, in the 2100 block of Old Denmark Road, on a charge of driving under suspension and a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/02/22 – 8:21 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 4400 block of Avenue O.
03/02/22 – 10:38 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident at the intersection of 26th Street and Avenue G.
03/02/22 – 10:38 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Myah Elizabeth Kruse, 19, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 26th Street and Avenue G, on a charge of driving under suspension.
03/02/22 – 11:21 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1300 block of Avenue C.
03/03/22 – 1:47 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited William Francis Rankin, 43, of Donnellson, at the intersection of 28th Street and Avenue I, on a charge of driving under suspension.

Lee County Sheriff Report
03/02/22 – 11:01 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested James Allen Michael Moore, 38, listed as homeless in Keokuk, at the probation office, on a warrant for violation of probation. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/02/22 – 3:43 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Joseph Duane Leeper, Sr., 46, of Keokuk, at the sheriff’s office, on a warrant for fugitive from justice. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/02/22 – 4:28 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Wendy Mershon Fenton, 43, of Burlington, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear. She was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on bond.
03/02/22 – 7:46 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident near the 1100 block of Hwy. 2. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Kenneth Johnson Clark, 55, of Farmington, struck a deer while traveling westbound on Hwy. 2. Minor injuries were reported, but Clark declined medical attention on the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene and no citations were reported.

03/01/22 – Fort Madison firefighters responded to two medical calls.
03/01/22 – Fort Madison firefighters responded to one burn complaint, one car wreck and two medical calls

Those listed above are charged with a suspicion of a crime and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
