William “Bill” M. Harshbarger81, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 12:29 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his home.  He was born on August 31, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant, IA to Harold & Ruth Bell Harshbarger.  He married Ruth M. Rotter.  He was a truck driver most of his life and enjoyed going to auctions and car races.  He was a race car driver for 50 years. 

       Bill is survived by: his wife: Ruth Harshbarger of Fort Madison, IA; 2-daughters: Kim (Shawn) Gallardo of Watsonville, CA & Barb (Chris) Wilson of Anamosa, IA; 1-step son: Scott (Amy) Botkin of Noble, IL; 8-grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 1-brother: Kent (Karen) Harshbarger of Mediapolis, IA and 1-sister-in-law: Karen Harshbarger of Burlington, IA.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-brother: Larry Harshbarger and 2-brothers in infancy.

       Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A memorial has been established for Lee County Hospice or P.A.W.
