03/07/22 – 8:37 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Jalen Keith Kutcher, 21, of Fort Madison, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for violation of pre-trial release. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/07/22 – 1:43 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 2700 block of Avenue O.
03/07/22 – 3:07 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1200 block of 26th Street.
03/07/22 – 3:37 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of 28th Street.
03/07/22 – 4:45 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 3000 block of Avenue J.
03/08/22 – 11:50 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1500 block of Avenue H.
03/08/22 – 1:44 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Kimberly Jo Huss, 45, of Fort Madison, in the 800 block of Avenue G, on a warrant for parole violation. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/08/22 – 7:56 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Michael Douglas McCabe, 39, of Keokuk, no location given, on a charge of driving under suspension.
03/08/22 – 10:35 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Jeramy Francis Skelton, 31, of Fort Madison, in the 2700 block of Avenue O, on charges of 4th degree criminal mischief $300-$750 and assault w/bodily injury. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/22 – 1:05 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Nelson Walter Cassimore, 47, of Fort Madison, in the 1100 block of 16th Street, on a charge of driving under suspension.
03/09/22 – 3:37 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1600 block of Avenue H.
03/09/22 – 11:09 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Ty Edward Hancock II, 45, of Fort Madison, in the 1300 block of Avenue F, on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/22 – 1:49 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 200 block of Avenue G.
03/09/22 – 3:12 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Denis James Blaise, 57, of Fort Madison, in the 900 block of 14th Street, on a warrant for failure to appear and a charge of driving under suspension. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/22 – 5:35 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 3700 block of Bluff Road.
03/09/22 – 5:41 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 2000 block of Avenue B.
03/09/22 – 6:46 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Robert Lee Dunn, 32, of Fort Madison, in the 300 block of 7th Street, on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/10/22 – 2:22 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Andrea Jean Hoenig, 38, of Fort Madison, at the intersection of 31st Street and Avenue P, on a charge of driving under suspension.
03/10/22 – 8:36 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Joshua George Payne, 25, of Keokuk, in the 1100 block of 24th Street, on a charge of driving under suspension.
03/10/22 – 2:55 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 500 block of 48th Street.
03/11/22 – 7:43 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident at the intersection of 18th Street and Avenue J.

Lee County Sheriff Report
03/06/22 – 8:56 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 2100 block of West Point Road. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Crystal Ann Horn, 25, of Fort Madison, was traveling south on West Point Road when the vehicle left the roadway on the left side, ramped a driveway and went airborne, landed on its front and then rolled to its side. Horn’s passenger, Samantha Dawn Schnider, 24, of Fort Madison, was transported to the hospital by EMS. No other injuries were reported. An OWI investigation is pending.
03/07/22 – 7:36 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy. 218 and 200th Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Stefanie Kay Heckenberg, 30, of Stockport, was stopped behind a snow plow as it was clearing the intersection at Hwy. 218 and 200th Street when the snow plow, driven by Karl Brian Rokosz, 57, of Montrose, backed into Heckenberg’s vehicle. No injuries or citations were reported. Heckenberg’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene. Rokosz’s vehicle sustained minor damages and was driven from the scene.
03/07/22 – 12:26 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Callie Elizabeth Peterson, 36, of Keokuk, in the 400 block of Johnson Street Road, on a charge of 2nd degree harassment. She was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/07/22 – 11:03 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies cited and released Michael Anthony Weldon, 32, of Fort Madison, in the 2400 block of Avenue H, on a charge of driving while barred.
03/08/22 – 2:37 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Mitchell Lynn Helmick, 35, of Fort Madison, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on warrants for violation of probation and driving under suspension. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/08/22 – 9:33 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested David Brian Fulton, 58, of Fort Madison, in the 200 block of Avenue E, on charges of 1st offense OWI, driving under suspension, and operating non-registered vehicle. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/21 – 6:51 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Caleb Armon Batchelor, 29, of St. Louis, in the 2800 block of Hwy. 27, on charges of being a felon in control of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/21 – 6:51 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies arrested Jaronn Tatntrell Jones, 29, of St. Louis, in the 2800 block of Hwy. 27, on a charge of being a felon in control of a firearm. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/22 – 4:30 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies arrested Bradley Michael Dettmers, Jr., 36, of Fort Madison, at the sheriff’s office, on a charge of disorderly conduct – fight/violence. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/22 – 4:31 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies arrested Charles Zachariah Bittner, 43, of Keokuk, at the sheriff’s office, on a charge of disorderly conduct – fight/violence. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/09/22 – 5:31 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at 5th Street and Avenue D in West Point. According to the report, a vehicle driven by John Lee Lightfoot, 52, of Fort Madison, was traveling east on Avenue D, when he slowed for pedestrians crossing the intersection and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Mitchell Daniel Meierotto, 34, of Pilot Grove. No injuries or citations were reported.
03/10/22 – 12:20 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies arrested Jerry Lee Blackwell, 29, of Keokuk, at the South Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for 3rd degree sexual abuse. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
03/10/22 – 2:25 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 61 N. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Mary A. Tondini, 78, of Joliet, Ill., was traveling east on Hwy. 218 approaching Hwy. 61 when Tondini lost control of the vehicle and struck a large utility light pole. Tondini was transported to the hospital by EMS. No citations were reported.
03/10/22 – 4:51 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 2700 block of Hwy. 61. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Kyalieghana Alexus Anissa Pennington, 18, of Keokuk, was traveling north on Hwy. 61 when she lost control of vehicle negotiating a right curve due to weather conditions. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the right side ditch, rolling to its side. No injuries or citations were issue.
03/10/22 – 6:50 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on Peach Orchard Road. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Sarah Lyn Vradenburg, 54, of Keokuk, was traveling westbound on Peach Orchard Road when it lost control due to the weather conditions and entered the south ditch. The vehicle sustained minor damage, but was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries or citations were reported.
03/10/22 – 8:27 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy. 218 and County Rd. 103. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Alfredo Angeles Acosta, 35, of Cedar Rapids, was traveling southbound near the intersection of Hwy. 218 and County Rd. 103 when the vehicle lost traction crossing a bridge. The vehicle spun sideways, crossed the outside lane, and struck the concrete bridge barrier. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries or citations were reported.

03/08/22 – Fort Madison firefighters had no incidents.
03/09/22 – Fort Madison firefighters responded to five medical calls, one porch fire, and one false alarm.
03/10/22 – Fort Madison firefighters had no incidents.

Those listed above are charged with a suspicion of a crime and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
