Emeline Holtkamp, 87 years, of West Point, Iowa died Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home.  She was born August 2, 1934 in West Point, Iowa, a daughter of Edward and Barbara (Sherwood) Pieper.  On January 2, 1953, she married Francis J. Holtkamp in West Point, Iowa.  Emeline lived in the area most of her life.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.  She worked for years at Fruehauf, retiring as an inspector.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Emeline was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.    

     She is survived by her seven children:  Jeff Holtkamp of Riverside, Iowa; Jan (Bill) Boeding of Burlington, Iowa; Geriann (Frankie) Reyes of Wever, Iowa; Tony Holtkamp and Fred Holtkamp, both of West Point; Sue (Rick) Brockett of Tampa, Florida; and Kevin Holtkamp (Kimber Stoderl) of Burlington;  13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three children:  Greg and Stephen Holtkamp and Robin Muff; and siblings: Virginia Kruse, Isabelle Greene, Irene Kester and Harry Pieper.

     Francis Holtkamp, 86 years, of West Point, Iowa died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his home.  He was born March 7, 1928 at St. Paul, Iowa, a son of Frank and Emma (Kuhljuergen) Holtkamp.  On January 2, 1953, he married Emeline Pieper at West Point, Iowa.  Francis was a truck driver for Umthun Trucking and worked at Dupont for many years, but above all he was a farmer.  He was of the Catholic faith.  

     He was survived by his wife, Emeline Holtkamp, of West Point, Iowa; four sons: Jeff Holtkamp, of Riverside, Iowa; Tony Holtkamp, of Kansas City, Kansas; Fred Holtkamp, of West Point, Iowa; and Kevin Holtkamp, of Burlington, Iowa; four daughters: Robin (Erwin) Muff, of Mediapolis, Iowa; Jan (Bill) Boeding, of Burlington, Iowa; Geriann (Frankie) Reyes, of Wever, Iowa; and Sue (Rick) Brockett, of Tampa, Florida; two sisters, Sister Annelda Holtkamp, of Wisconsin and Renelda Pieper, of Houghton, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Greg and Stephen, three brothers, and one sister.

The family will meet with friends from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Barr-Holtkamp Funeral Home in West Point on Monday, March 21, 2022, a Rosary will begin at 4:00 pm and a Catholic Vigil Service at 6:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at St. James the Less Catholic Church, St. Paul, Iowa with Reverend Dan Dorau as Celebrant.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established, contributions may be sent to the Barr-Holtkamp Funeral Home, 412 Ave C, P.O.
