Tracy Sue Koett, 56, of Burlington, died at 10:55 AM Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born August 15, 1965, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Herbert Alvin Cambell and Margie Ann Kelly. After her father passed away, she was adopted by Robert Royer, whom her mother married. Tracy married Ricky Taylor, then later divorced. She later married VJ Koett and they later divorced.

She attended Burlington High School then received her Associate's Degree from Southeastern Community College.

Tracy worked for Dresser-Rand, now known as Siemens, for over 25 years.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran and the Burlington Gym. She was described as having a bright personality and a distinct laugh. She enjoyed flowers and soaking up the sun to get her Vitamin D. Tracy enjoyed traveling and going on new adventures. Most of all, Tracy loved spending time with her friends, family and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her mother, Margie Royer; two daughters, Jamie (Jay) Judge of Ankeny and Julia (Tyler Waggener) of West Burlington; fiancé, Richard Oscar Cline of Burlington; two bonus daughters, Amber and Mackenzie Cline; four grandchildren, Luke and Max Judge, Aurora Waggener, and Iverson Cline; sister, Kelly (Curtis) Willeford of Burlington; half-sister, Brandi Ridgely of Missouri; niece, Nicole (Jeff) Gerdom; nephew, Nathan (Katie) Willeford; great nieces and nephews and her dog, Herbie.

She was preceded in death by her fathers; maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Mindy Hoaglin; and special friend, Steven Ellison.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2022 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The Graveside Service for Tracy will be Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 9:00 AM in Aspen Grove Cemetery.  

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Burlington Gym.

A memorial has been established for her family.
