FORT MADISON - The FMAAA Art Center is ramping up activities for the spring. We have been hosting Central Lee after schoolers K-3rd grade twice a month for some creative time and will continue to hold sessions in April and May. We have some adult classes this month including a mosaic pot class, a photography technique class called Light Painting along with an Intro level Photography class. Our monthly exhibition in the Main Gallery will be of area High School Artists. This exhibition always features fabulous talent and we expect this month to be no different! We thank the Arts Instructors for all that they do to support the creative growth of young people in this region, and for all of the behind the scenes efforts they put into helping these young people prepare their work for exhibition. The Art Center has several events planned in conjunction with this exhibit including the Opening Reception, Lunch ala Art luncheon and artists talk, and FINALE. Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Expressions Art Auction to be held Friday, May 13th starting at 6:30pm at McAleer Hall. After cancelling what is our major fundraiser two years in a row we are hopeful for a successful event.
