Fort Madison girls down Fairfield, Washington
FORT MADISON - The Lady Hounds got an 8-1 win Thursday night over Fairfield. Five different Bloodhounds scored for FMHS.
Teagan Snaadt had the hat trick with three goals, one in the first half for a 3-0 lead, and then the freshman put together two back-to-back scores at 20:02 and 19:42 to put Fort Madison up 7-1.
Natalie Randolph got the Hounds on the board in the first half, just five minutes into the match, and scored again with 4:13 left in the half. Laura Mehmert and Mary Kate Bendlage also had goals for Fort Madison. Taylor Johnson and Eva Boehringer combined for five saves in the net.
On Monday, the Hounds knocked off Washington 2-1 on a 4-1 sudden death penalty kick win. Randolph had the Hounds' goal in regulation and Johnson pitched a shutout in the overtime period in the net to preserve the win.

Hawks fall to Mediapolis
DONNELLSON - The Central Lee Hawks were shut out Tuesday night in Donnellson by visiting Mediapolis 2-0.
The Bulldogs scored with 6:11 left in the first half for a 1-0 lead at the break. They scored again at 19:18 in the second half to set the final score. Jacob Vollmer was busy in the net fending off 17 shots on goal while allowing just two scores.
Central Lee falls to 1-1 and (0-1) in the SEI Superconference. They travel to Highland Tuesday.

Snaadt, Hemann lead Crusaders
FORT MADISON - Burlington Notre Dame downed Holy Trinity Catholic in boys high school golf 173-241. Tyler Snaadt and Blake Hemann both shot 52s in the 9-hole event at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course.
Andy Mehmert carded a 68, while Cody Briggs shot a 69.
Brooke Mueller birdied No. 14 on her way to a 63 for the girls. HTC didn't field a full girls squad.

FMMS soccer starts year 3-0
DANVILLE - The Fort Madison Middle School combined co-ed soccer team knocked off Danville 8-4 on Monday night and Holy Trinity Catholic Tuesday. Owen Menke had two goals against Danville, while Halle Menke, Hadley Wolfe, Jonah Santiago, Hunter Wiegand, Colton Boyer, and Cole Quittem all scored for Fort Madison.
Wiegand and Halle Menke each had an assist in the win.
On Tuesday, the Little Hounds won 4-1 with goals by Halle Menke and Wolfe, and two goals by Nolan Guzman. Santiago had an assist in the win.
FMMS is now 3-0 on the year.
