Wade edges Keokuk's Sisk to win Lee County tourney

Jordan Simpson aces No. 18 for Hounds

FORT MADISON - Fort Madison's Tyler Wade had to go two holes of sudden death to medal at the Lee County boys golf tournament Tuesday.

Wade shot a 38 on the front and a 43 on the back for an 81, while Keokuk's Jordan Sisk shot a 40-41 forcing extra holes, where Wade earned the title on the second hole.

Fort Madison's Brennan Ulick shot a field-high 37 on the front nine but slipped to a 46 on the back for an 83 for the Hounds. Ulick parred 6 of the first nine holes, with three bogies.

The Hounds won the tournament with a 354. Keokuk had a 384, while Central Lee shot a a 390 and Holy Trinity Catholic combined for a 456.

The highlight of the event came on Hole No. 8 when Fort Madison's No. 5 golfer Jordan Simpson holed out the Par 3 for an ace.

Central Lee was led by Ashton Robinson's 89. Kaden Skow got around with a 100.

Holy Trinity Catholic was led by Tyler Snaadt's 100.
