Fort Madison Police Report
04/22/22 – 10:26 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 1900 block of Avenue E.
04/23/22 – 12:00 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Justin Dwaine Britton, 38, of Fort Madison, was arrested in the 1900 block of Avenue M, on a charge of OWI. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
04/23/22 – 2:31 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of burglary in the 1500 block of Avenue M.
04/24/22 – 12:00 a.m. – Fort Madison police cited Uriah Shawn Orr, 39, of Fort Madison, in the 2200 block of Avenue L, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of prescription drugs.
04/24/22 – 6:45 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 2500 block of Hwy. 61.
04/24/22 – 7:40 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Bryan Keith Morehouse, Jr., 36, of Fort Madison, no location given, on a charge of 3rd degree harassment.
04/25/22 – 12:00 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested William Francis Rankin, 43, of Donnellson, in the 2800 block of Avenue L, on a charge of driving while barred. He was taken to Lee County Jail.

Lee County Sheriff Report
04/22/22 – 8:01 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy. 218 and 255th Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Gabriel James William Clark, 15, of West Point, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, entering the roadway when it was struck broadside by a vehicle driven by Roger Duane McVey, 73, of Montrose, who was traveling northbound on Hwy. 218. McVey sustained minor injuries. No other injuries were reported. Clark was cited for failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way. No other citations were reported.
04/22/22 – 8:12 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Maria Antonette Stanbary, 40, of Burlington, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear. She was taken to Lee County Jail and later released after paying a fine.
04/22/22 – 11:35 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Chad Alan Riddle, 39, of Keokuk, at the sheriff’s office, on a charge of disorderly conduct – fight/violence. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
04/22/22 – 11:38 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Dennis Lee Hitsman, Jr., 33, of Davenport, at the sheriff’s office, on a charge of disorderly conduct – fight/violence. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
04/22/22 – 11:38 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Gregory Wayne Myers, 63, of Cascade, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for being a fugitive from justice. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
04/22/22 – 3:22 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Timothy Allen Regan, 25, of Fort Madison, at the North Lee County Courthouse, on a warrant for failure to appear – citation. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on bond.
04/23/22 – 12:22 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Jonathan David Isaac Horn, 22, of Burlington, at the intersection of 23rd Street and Avenue L, Fort Madison, on a warrant for driving under suspension, and charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on his own recognizance.
04/23/22 – 5:59 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Journey Isaiah Rude, 22, of Mediapolis, in the 1800 block of Hwy. 61, on a charge of OWI – 1st offense. He was taken to Lee County Jail and later released on his own recognizance.
04/23/22 – 10:59 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Hunter John West, 18, of Argyle, at the sheriff’s office, on a charge of 3rd degree harassment. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
04/24/22 – 7:54 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Croton Road. According to the report, deputies found a vehicle in a field off Croton Road that had appeared to have been wrecked. The owner of the vehicle was identified as Martin Olivares-Cortes who confirmed he had been driving the truck when deer entered the roadway causing him to lose control of the vehicle. He reported he was not injured. No citations were reported.
04/24/22 – 3:52 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Kolton Alan Enke, 25, of Denmark, in the 200 block of Academy Avenue, on a warrant for domestic abuse assault – 1st. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
04/24/22 – 10:13 p.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Hunter John West, 18, of Argyle, at the sheriff’s office, on a charge of tampering w/witness or juror. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
04/25/22 – 12:09 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Zahmere Devon Virgil, 18, of Fort Madison, at the sheriff’s office, on a warrant for hold – court order.
04/25/22 – 4:05 a.m. – Lee County sheriff deputies arrested Travis William Peterson, Sr., 42, of Burlington, on Hwy. 99 Green Acres, Burlington, on a warrant for eluding – speed 25 over limit. He was taken to Lee County Jail.
