Kenneth N. Pickerel, 88, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 11:15 AM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at his home.

He was born on August 21, 1933 in Jerseyville, IL to Clarence and Delia Atchison Pickerel.  On August 29, 1959 he married Linda Bailey in Kampsville, IL.  Ken retired from Roquette in Keokuk.  He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus.  Ken enjoyed playing golf, reading history books and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye, Chicago Cubs, and Green Bay Packer fan.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Pickerel of Ft. Madison; one son, Christopher (Elizabeth)  Pickerel of Burkburnett, TX; one daughter, Suzanne Scancella of Ft. Madison; two grandsons, Bryan Scancella and Justin Majors; one sister, Diane Landon of Idaho; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his step mom, Bonnie Wade and two brothers, Frederick and Ralph.

Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and there will be no formal services at this time.
