Peggy J. Burch, 92, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 1:15 AM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her home.

She was born on November 7, 1929 in Wever to Clem and Opal Marsh Ireland, Sr.  On July 10, 1946 she married James Burch in Keokuk.  Peggy was a homemaker.  She was a former member of the Santa Fe Methodist Church where she was very active in all aspects.  Peggy is a member of Fort Madison United Methodist Church.  She and Jim enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles.  Peggy loved doing hand crafted bead work, especially ornaments.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Burch of Ft. Madison; two sons, Ronald (Gail) Burch of Ft. Madison and Tom (Sara) Burch of Pontoosuc, IL; seven grandchildren, Connie Langiano, Tom Burch,Jr., Jason Burch, James Timothy, Tammy Palumbo and Anson Burch; eighteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karen Cox; a grandson, John Geiger; two brothers, Robert Ireland and Clem Ireland, Jr.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:30 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Kayla Lange officiating.  Burial will follow in Claypoole Cemetery.  The family will meet with friends from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
