Robert “Bob” L. Leffler Sr., 71, of Warsaw, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at his home in Warsaw surrounded by his wife and children.

Bob was born on May 20, 1950, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Bennie Wayne and Mary Jane (Gilliland) Leffler. On September 6, 1969, he was united in marriage to Linda Lee at the Methodist Church in Warsaw. She survives. Bob proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged.

Bob worked several jobs over the course of his life. He worked construction and was co-owner of The HomeFoamers insulation company. He went on to work at Griffin Wheel for twenty-one years, and drove a truck for another fifteen years. Bob belonged to the Warsaw Assembly of God Church. He grew up in Keokuk (“West K”) and raised his family in Warsaw. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting for mushrooms, boating or riding his Kawasaki motorcycle. He was also an avid fan  of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Bob had a knack for storytelling, a skill he honed on many a barstool in the Tri-State area;  he was a regular patron at the Warsaw VFW. Bob loved catching up with his buddies at the bar, but more than anything, he loved his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife Linda Leffler of Warsaw; his daughter Kimberley Shinn of Quincy, Illinois; his son Robert (wife Patty) “Bobby” Leffler, Jr. of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; five grandchildren: Nate Moore (Fiancé Shelby Reneau) of Keokuk, Jack Leffler of Iowa City, Iowa, Andrew Moore of Kahoka, Missouri, Charlie Leffler of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Alyssa Leffler of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; four great-grandchildren: Elliott Moore, Cooper Moore, Ryker Turner and Layton Wilson; two sisters: Samantha Leffler King and Amanda Leffler; and six siblings-in-law: Lois Leffler, Kelly Denning, Doug and Robin Lee, and Gary and Kathy Stansbery; Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; three siblings: Rosemary, Danny Wayne, and Cheryl Lynn; and his son-in-law Mike Shinn.

Bob’s life will be celebrated with a visitation on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will be held at a later date at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
