Kathy M. Blint, 66, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10:00 PM at the home of her son, Josh surrounded by family.
She was born on August 20, 1955 in Washington, IN to Robert and Lucille Wratten Wood. On July 30, 1977 she married Ricky Lee Blint in Ft. Madison and he passed away on March 23, 2019. Kathy was a rural mail carrier for the USPS and retired in 2019 with over thirty years of service. She enjoyed animals and taking care of them, traveling and cooking. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Jaron Blint of Ft. Madison and Josh (Jo Schmid) Blint of Ft. Madison; five grandchildren, Haysten, Max, Kaiah, Kaydence & Nash; two sisters, Kristy Wood of Ft. Madison and Cecilia (Norbert) Lindauer of St. Henry, IN; two brothers, Dennis (Catherine) Wood of New Castle, KY and Jim (Vicki) Wood of Plainfield, IN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers and one sister.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dan Dorau officiating. The family will meet with friends from 10 AM until the time of the funeral at 11 AM. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
