Cory Douglas Petersen, 32, of Waverly, IA, and formerly of Fort Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his home. He was born on December 17, 1989 in Fort Madison, IA to Douglas & Kay Auge Petersen. He was a park manager in Waverly, IA and enjoyed old cars, being outside, working in the yard, animals and biking.
Cory is survived by: his parents: Doug & Kay Petersen of Fort Madison, IA; 1-brother: Grant Petersen of Fort Madison, IA and his dog: Roxanne. He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents: Richard & Shirley Auge and his paternal grandparents: Pete & Marlene Petersen.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. A memorial has been established for P.A.W. Animal Shelter.
