Paul Ludvik Mills, 88, of Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Illinois Veterans Home at Quincy.
Paul was born on February 18, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Wallace and Agnes (Petrak) Mills.
Paul was united in marriage to Margarete Dannwolf. They later divorced. On May 4, 2002 he married Judy Laurin at the Chicago Temple. She survives.
Paul was a graduate of the Coggon High School, Coggon, Iowa. Following high school he served in the U.S. Army. He returned home to work as dairy farmer most of his life. He and his wife, Judy, also renovated several rental properties in the Keokuk, Iowa area. He was dedicated to his work all of his life.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo and was a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include his wife: Judy; six children, five step-children, nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife: Margarete.
Cremation has been entrusted to Schmitz-Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Nauvoo.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo. Inurnment will held at a later date at the family cemetery, near Coggon, Iowa.
