Task force makes drug arrests in FM

LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of two Fort Madison men on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

Cory Porter, age 28, of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested on 6/2/22 in the 2100 block of 303rd Ave in Fort Madison.  Porter is charged with (1) count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana within 1000 feet of a park, a class D felony with enhancement, (1) count of drug tax stamp violation, a class D felony, one count of maintaining a drug house, an aggravated misdemeanor, and (1) count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.                                                   

PORTER

The arrest of Porter stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force, and the Drug Enforcement Administration into allegations that Porter was involved with the importation and distribution of several pounds of Marijuana in the Lee County and Des Moines County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force, the Fort Madison Police Department, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Burlington Police Department, and the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation. This investigation is ongoing and may result in other future arrests. 

LINDER

The Task Force also reports the arrest of Nathan Wayne Linder on June 1, 2022, in the 1500 block of Avenue E in Fort Madison. Linder was charged with: Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, a class D misdemeanor; Maintaining a Drug House, and aggravated misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. 

The arrest of Linder stems from an investigation by the Fort Madison Police Department into allegations that he was involved in the illegal possession of firearms.       

BLINT

Andrea Louise Blint, 38, of Fort Madison, Iowa, was also arrested on May 23, 2022, and charged with Delivery of Less Than 5 Grams of Methamphetamine, 2nd or Subsequent Offense, within 1,000 Feet of a Public Park, a Class C Felony with enhancements.         

The arrest of Blint stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that she was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.                                                                                                 

The defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
