TRI STATE RODEO - Pre-rodeo week kicks off this week with professional rodeo action starting with Wednesday's CINCH-Chute-out! and runs through Saturday.

Fort Madison Lion's Club Breakfast – Join the Fort Madison Lions Club members as they close out another Tri-State Rodeo with the annual Fly-In, Drive-in, Walk-in All-You-Can-Eat breakfast Sunday from 7 to 11 .m. at the south airplance hangar north of Rodeo Park. Cost is $10 for adults, $7 children 5-12 and children under 5 eat free as do any pilots. Pancakes, Eggs, Sausages, Coffee, milk, juice included.

MDA Kickball Tourney – Help firefighters Help MDA. This charity co-ed kick ball tournament is Sept. 17 at Baxter Sports Complex. The double elimination tournament starts at 9 a.m. with registration at 8 a.m. Teams are $100 each and must have a minimum of four females and participants must be 10 years of age or older. Art in Central Park – The FMAAA Art Fair is set for Sept. 18, 2022 beginning at 11 a.m. in Central Park in Fort Madison. Featured entertainment includes Music of SCC featuring the Stem Lounge Ensemble, Joe Abandola, Blame Not the Bard, and Tommy Caruso. The Kids Zone will be in play from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Food is being provided by Fat Jimmy's BB.

Escape Rodeo Park – The night time TAG Fundraiser for 2x4s for Hope will take place starting with a youth event for ages 5-12 beginning at 5 p.m. and the main event starting at 6:30. Miles & Memories 5K Run/Walk for Hospice - The 15th annual 5K to benefit Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice and Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House will be held Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. at the SEI Regional Medical Center campus 1221 S. Gear Avenue. Pre-registration is through Sept. 15. Entry fee is $15 up to 12 years of age and $25 for those 13 and up. Starting Sept. 17 entry fees increase by $5.
