Consuelo "Chelo" Puga, formerly of Ft. Madison, Iowa, passed away March 15, 2022 at her home in Leander, TX.  She was born on April 24, 1935 in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Juan and Felicitas Flores Pizana.  She married Henry Robert Puga on June 1, 1957 in Ft. Madison, IA.  He preceded her in death on April 20, 2012.  She was a homemaker and caretaker to her mother in law.  Chelo was well known for her great tasting Mexican food and making and selling homemade tortillas.  The sound of her rolling pin early in the morning woke the whole Puga household. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to go out to eat, especially stopping at IHOP after doctor's appointments.  Her favorite hobby was doing word search puzzles. 

Chelo is survived by 2-brothers, Alfredo and Raul Pizana of El Paso, TX and one sister, Guillermina (Miguel) Pizana Apodaca of Cd. Juarez, Mexico, 2 sons, Jesse (Roxanne) Puga and John (Karen) Puga of Ft. Madison, 3 daughters, Laura (Saher) Kassim of El Paso, TX; Anna Torres and Carmen (Robert) Puga both of Leander TX; 8-grandchildren, Tiana Puga and Chi Puga of Ft. Madison, Darian (Emily) of O'Fallon, MO, Desirae Puga of Ft. Madison, Andriana Torres of Leander, TX, David "Baboo" (Kayla) Landeros of Lago Vista, TX, Marisa (Kyle) Lubke and Esteban (Audrey) Landeros, both of Cedar Park, TX. 11-great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.  Several cousins, nieces and nephews spread through various cities and countries.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, 4-brothers, Ruben, Lalo, Ricardo and Hector Manuel Pizana and one sister, Estela Pizana all of Cd. Juarez Mexico, and two beautiful angel granchildren, Leticia Garza and Lathan Puga. 

The graveside service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Phung officiating.  King-Lynk Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
