The Mount Pleasant City Council will meet in Regular Session on Wednesday, June 11, 2025,
at City Hall, 307 E. Monroe Street, second-floor meeting room at 5:30 p.m.
AGENDA
1. Roll Call.
2. Consent Agenda: To the Public -All items with an asterisk(*) are routine
by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion and a roll call of the Councilmembers.
There will be no separate discussion of items unless the Mayor, a Councilmember
or citizen so request, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and
will be considered in its normal sequence on the Agenda.

*a) Renewal of a Class E Retail Alcohol License for Pizza Hut at 900 North Grand
Avenue.
*b) Renewal of a Class B Retail Alcohol License for Iris Bowling Center located
at 300 South Iris Street.
*c) Outdoor Amplified Sound Permit for the Henry County Fair at McMillan Park
Grandstand July 18, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
*d) Request to sell alcohol for the Henry County Fair at McMillan Park
July 15, 2025 - July 21, 2025.
*e) Renewal of Special Class C Retail Alcohol License for Main Street Mount
Pleasant for event in Central Park June 18, 2025.
*f) Renewal applications for 2025 cigarette/tobacco permits.
9. New Business
a) Change Order #1 for H Street Construction Project.
b) Resolution authorizing the filing of an application for the Iowa Department of
Transportation (IDOT) state recreational trails (SRT) program for the construction
of the Washington-Grand connector trail.
c) Resolution setting Public Hearing on the proposed drawings, specifications, form
of contract and estimated costs for the South Adams Street reconstruction project.
d) Authorize Mayor to sign a construction proposal with McKee Construction to
remove asbestos in basement of the Second Baptist Church.
