National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Lee County from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

LEE COUNTY – The National Weather Service out of the Quad Cities has issued a winter weather advisory for Lee County for most of the day Wednesday.
The advisory warns of freezing rain that is expected with accumulations reaching 1/10th of an inch staring in the morning.
Portions of southeast Iowa, northeast Missouri, and northwest and west central Illinois are in the advisory from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The winter storm is expected to impact roads, bridges and overpasses, and will likely create slick and hazardous conditions making travel potentially hazardous. Conditions could also impact the Wednesday evening commute.
Motorist are encouraged to slow down and use caution while traveling. In Iowa, the latest road conditions are available at ia511.org or by calling 511.

If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
