Mary Sue “Suzi” Stanbary, 70, of rural Niota, Illinois, passed away at 1:34a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

She was born November 17, 1950 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur Lee and Ruth Lucille (Freeland) Olson. On December 26, 1981 she married Delbert William Stanbary in Macomb, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2021.

Suzi was a 1967 graduate of the Dallas City High School and in 1971 graduated from college in Kirkwood, Missouri. She also attended Southeastern Community College and Carl Sandburg College. She was a phlebotomist and a computer programmer. She previously worked in graphic layout for the Hawk Eye Newspaper. Suzie also worked at area nursing homes and in home health care.

Surviving are one son, Tony (Angela) Cisneros of Dallas City; one daughter, Maria Stanbary of Burlington, Iowa; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Arthur Cisneros; two sisters, Sandra Dowell and Tammy Olson, and one brother, Frank Olson.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
