Gina Louise Blindt, 61, Fort Madison, Iowa died at 5:30 pm Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa.  She was born March 25, 1961, a daughter of Arthur and Ellen (Carroll) Pilon.  On June 30, 1984, she married Anthony Joseph Blindt. 

For years, Gina worked as an LPN at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.  She lived in the moment! She enjoyed garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, antique malls, DIY projects, plants, rock hunting, cooking, baking, reading and visiting the library.  More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

She was survived by her husband, Tony Blindt of Fort Madison; four children: Robert Gurzenda-Blindt of Macomb, Illinois; Joseph (Kandi) Blindt, Nicholas (Haley) Blindt, and Katelynn Blindt (Dakota Oberman)  all of Fort Madison; and 13 grandchidren: Gavin Blindt, Conner Blindt, Bella Clark-Blindt, Scarlett Clark- Blindt, Liam Clark-Blindt, Kadin White-Blindt, Harlynn Blindt, Bryce Blindt, Jacob Roberts, Eryk Allen, Danica Gurzenda-Blindt, Afton Becerra, and Natalie Becerra; and the mother of Eryk, Danica, Afton, and Natalie, Mandy Allen.  She was also survived by four siblings: Marie (Charlie) Denda of Florida; Carroll Pilon, Brad (Marj)Willett, and Victor Pilon all of Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen; her father, Arthur, and her step-father, Roy Willett.

A Celebration of her Life will be held a later date.  A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Blindt family and an online guest book may be found at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
