Bloodhounds drop dual at Quincy

QUINCY - The Fort Madison Bloodhound wrestlers fell just short in their first dual match of the season Thursday night in Quincy.

The Hounds had an empty weight at 106 and lost six other matches for a close 40-35 loss.

Logan Pennock (126),  Aidan Pennock (152), Teague Smith (182), Ike Thacher (195) and Daniel Sokolik (285) all recorded pins for the Hounds.

Nolan Riddle scored a 17-2 tech fall over Quincy's Eric McClleland with two seconds left in the match. At 220 lbs Landon Rudd lost a 7-3 decision, while at 132 Hayden Woolever lost a 9-3 decision to Quincy's Eli Roberts.

The Bloodhounds travel to Independence today for the annual two-day Independence Invitatational.
