Central Lee students visit family farm

DONNELLSON - Students from the Central Lee agriculture department participated in a field trip to the Heartland Fresh Family Farm business.  The group was taking part in experiential learning as part of a Survey of The Animal Industry concurrent enrollment course through Southeastern Community College. 

The local business is a working farm and is an example of diversification in agriculture utilizing different parts of an agribusiness to maximize efficiency.  The business is owned and operated by Leslie and Mark Hulsebus.
